Frodo's Mp3 Player

My favourite piece of technology is my Mp3 player. It's a Philips GoGear.
I got it 1 year and a half ago, I was joining(Ww) money to buy it because
the previous one didn't work. I use it like a Pen-Drive, I plug it in the PC
and I keep my favourite music and I listen(Sm) it in the bus. I use it
everyday( they{ every and day} should always go separately) because the music
is a good mate(Ww) in(Wp) the bus, because without music I go(Ww) boring(Wt) in(Wp) the bus. Also it have(Wf) radio, and I use it when there are(Wf) a match of Colo-Colo, because I don't have TV cable to watch the matches. I like it because it have(Wf) a sober design, because it have(Wf) a(Wf) RECHEARGABLE INTERNAL (Wo) battery, and THE MUSIC IS LISTENED(Nn+Ww) clearly. My life without my Mp3 player would be terrible because I couldn't listen to my music in the bus, my travel would be
boring and I would have to listen to reggaeton of "flaites"(flaites’) mobile phones... booooo!!!!!

Joining: you can join two pieces together, you can joing your friends for lunch( you go with them), you can also join a club.
Money: In this case... you can make money( make= earn), and sav money ( = keep or not spending your money, in order to have more and more money) .
You listen TO music - You hear a noise in the backyard.
The sound is clear could be an option.
“My travel would be boring”: I understand your point, but the word for that is COMMUTE= the journey between home and work/university.

Pedro's iPod

Definitely(P) my favorite piece o(Sp) technology is mi(Sp) iPod, i(C) got my first iPod 2 years ago, when my father arrived from USA and gave it to me,(P) that was a(Wf) iPod shuffle and nobody have(Wt) one in the class,(P) i(C) was so excited cuz i(C) love listen(Wf) (Sm) music and the (We) is so long,(P) so(C) i(C) traveled really bored without any distraction. After one(Ww) year or more time a fucking burglar stole it in the bus (Nn),(P) in(C) the summer of 2006 i(C) started to work for(Ww) buy other iPod(P) and i(C) achieve(Wt) it again (P) i(C) bought a(Wf) iPod shuffle but the new have(Wf) more space for music and is (Ww)tan(Sp) (Sm) old iPod. I use it every day, when i(C) travel in bus, underground or when i (Sm) walking,(P) i(C) can't stay without listen(Wf)(Sm) music, i(C) don't understand < MYSELF WHI IS> (Nn)the reason for that, but i(C) don't care it. When i(C) was(Wt) without music i(C) felt(Wt) empty, bored and i(C) don't have mood for(Ww) do anything, my life is the music and without ir(Sp) i (C)can`t function correctly. My iPod is full with a lot (Sm) (Sm= ALL) kind(Wf) of music, but (Sm)recently i( X) putted(Wf) noisy music, like: Orchid, Ampere and Tristan Tzara, FOR HAVE A GREAT AND FUNNY TRAVELS ACROSS THE (?). Cindy`s Laptop

My favorite technology piece (Wo) is my notebook, (Sm) was a gift from my uncle for some time and (nn) a month ago to change my notebook for a more modern.
The notebook is used in the same way that a computer desktop, (sm)is smaller and its main adjective (Ww) is that it is a laptop computer.
I use my laptop computer all the time, when I'm in my house and when I leave. Besides(ww) using it in (Sm) university when I have to do another work. Also, I take them(Ww) when I travel, to have fun on the bus. My notebook is personal, but when I'm not at(Ww) my house, my niece also uses (sm) because (sm)is very entertaining game(p)and also that(nn) it can (sm)use(wt) this(nn) even when (Sm-2words-)in bed.
I like my notebook that (ww) is very entertaining and practical. With the Internet (Sm) can browse through and (nn) where I want when I want. Besides I have no problems in my house to occupy(ww) the computer desktop when my family also has to work. It's much more comfortable than my old computer and has more memory capacity and (sm )more rapidly (We).
I believe that my life would be different without my notebook, and happen(Ww) much more time at(ww) my house. I think that with my notebook my life has more freedom.

Let’s recap... do you remember the story’s plot?
(Previous post)
“A Kestrel for a knave” is a book about Billy, a young boy who lives in a humble home with his bully brother, and unconcerned mother. Unfortunately, Billy’s school doesn’t make his life any easier, most of his teachers don’t understand him, and instead of helping the boy, they reprimand him frequently. Even though suffering both physical and emotional mistreatment, there is hope in Billy’s life when he finds a hawk up in a nest. He takes care of it, and even goes to a library to find a book to read about Hawks in order to know how to treat them right. Billy’s expectations were to train this hawk, and he really manages to do so. So we can infer that it is the hawk that brings light to his life, perhaps a new meaning for it. Ironically, he becomes more attached to “Kes” than he is for his mother and Jud.

Well, the story itself wasn’t so much about encouraging Billy to have a better life nor to increase and develop his self-confidence and self-esteem. So, by the end of the story it doesn’t get any better. Billy makes a mistake by not betting to the horses Jud had asked him to bet for. Why? Billy innocently thought the horses wouldn’t win, so instead he used the money for buying food for “kES”. As far as I know, Jud was not known for his serenity, that is why I was not surprised of what he did. Jud took revenge on his brother for making him loose money by killing “Kes”.
As soon as Billy finds out, he is devastated; the one thing he felt passionate about was gone. Then, when he is going to bury Kes, he goes to Mr. Farthing’s house to tell him the news. He had always been nice to him, and he showed interest when finding out about his hawk, so he felt he needed to be in the burial. The teacher is really upset that Jud would have done such an atrocity, I suddenly he closes his eyes. Later on, Mr. Farthing tells Billy there is something he can do, he had studied dark magic west of North of Scotland and he knew what to do in order to make Kes return to life. Billy was astonished and listened to his teacher’s plan: they would bring back Kes and then he would take both of them out of the country. Moreover, Billy didn’t like to live with his family anyway and they would think he had run away from home. Mr. Farthing takes Kes into his basement and starts reading his spells. Billy was astonished when he realizes that after 10 minutes his companion started to move and open his eyes. He felt alive again; no one would drift them apart again. Mr. Farthing was really tired, so he went to bed and let them stay. The next morning they got up, made the bags and set to a new adventure in
Wales.

dO it yOursElf on... www.wordle.net

My “error correction” experience has been quite a slow process, I must say. Why? It has been tricky to discriminate whether a mistake is either word form, word tense, etc… When correcting U.Chile`s students I firstly thought I had to be very strict when revising. But later on, I realized that even though their words could be more specific and sophisticated, it was more important to understand their message. So, in that way has been useful, since I’m flexible to different styles of writing too. Furthermore, I believe it will be beneficial for them `cause they will receive feedback which contains the corrections they need… we are not so focused on correcting every single error, but revising what interferes the understanding of their message.

My worst nightmare ever, mathematics…. I studied it during my entire school education. It was not until high school that I really started hating it, why? I guess I could not keep up with all the numbers (P) and rules to do the exercises. Just talking about it makes me feel a tiny bit upset. When I finished high school I thought it was over, I didn’t have to handle that should-not-be-named subject anymore. However, I was not so lucky and when I (Ww= started) came university I was told I would have a semester of it. When I took the subject I have to admit that I almost failed it. At least, It is over for now.

September 18th, for Eduardo Muñoz

I like this date(ww). It’s my favourite month, season, etc. Fiestas Patrias means a lot of things for me; happiness, party, share, etc. It’s the anniversary of the first national council of government (WE), but it’s an excuse to celebrate the first step for a repulican life. We have two holidays, the 18th and 19th September. These days we do a lot of things, we play typical games,(P) like flying a kite, rayuela, and______(Mw) a greased pole, etc. Also, we eat typical foods (WF), overall(WW), barbecue and empanadas. And we drink a lot of things, but the most typical____(Sm) that(Nn) we drink(Nn) are chicha and red wine, but if you want to do all these things, you must go out to “fondas” in O’Higgins Park. When I was a child, I lived with my uncles, aunts(P) and my grandparents in a big house(P) and we eat a big barbecue for all the family. Nowadays, we still meeting(Wt) us(Nn),(Nn) to eat a big barbecue,(Sm) maybe we will meet in my house. My favourite 18th… maybe___(Sm) was last 18th, because I went out to Curacavi with my family, and we eat(Wt) and drink(Wt) a lot of things. Also, I went out to my grandparent’s house and also(Nn) we eat(Wt) a big barbecue… but before of(Nn) these dates I was(Wt) celebrate the(Nn) Fiestas Patrias in the “Fonda FAU”, where I danced(Wt) and drunk(Wt) too much…

Pedro D.

Pedro’s got no problem in writing his thoughts in clear sentences. He just needs to work on: punctuation, capitalization, and spelling (usage of words as well). Moreover, his biggest mistakes are related to grammar: tense, form and verb agreement. Pedro, needs to pay attention to his writing. In the entry “My English Experience”, It is noticeable that he didn’t pay much attention to capitalization and spelling. Anyway, well done!

Eduardo M.

Eduardo manages to write complex sentences, and has great fluency when writing his ideas. Nevertheless, he will need to work on tenses and form mistakes like:
“I never have learned”; “I liked learn”; “I don’t would like to work in an office”
Also…Vocabulary Usage: “travel to a foreigner country” -- > foreign
Those are the main errors I can notice in his entries.

Cindy

After reading Cindy’s last two entries, I come to realize some of her writing errors. There are wrong words, like (among others) “Majority” instead of “most” or “House friends” instead “my friends who live near my house” or something like that.
There is a word order problem, for example when she uses the word “also” which comes after the object:

“and ALSO in my house” ---> “ and in my house also”

Even though she’s got problems with punctuation, and usually deletes words in grammatical structures like “I didn’t not language classes”, she makes an effort and I can see that she recognizes some structures , for instance, when she says “I'd like to know more people who speak English” or “I liked listening to music in English” .

Blogging again :P

New semester, reloaded with energy...
mmmm....Have you ever felt so energized and suddenly something happens and it is like that energy was pumped out of your system????
Well, I felt like that for a moment, but as everything in life we must continue in the best way we can. Anyway, I`m excited about what this semester will bring to my and my friends lives. For instance, I`ll be helping Geography students to improve their English... which is challenging but at the same time fascinating because I`ll get to know little more about likes and dislikes of new people: Cindy, Eduardo and Pedro. Also, I had never known anyone studying Geography so I`ll have the chance to find out more about it.

Blogger is a : Yes

What is it about blogs? Millions of people worldwide have integrated themselves to the BLOGGER family. In which they can realax and start objecting or supporting ideas, current events, or whichever topic they feel interested in, writing it and posting it to their blog.

During my first “working Experience” this semester, I have realized that students feel left apart from society. This is why, I believe it is so important that they create their own blogs. This is helpful for them, so they can let their stress out, empower their beliefs and also because that way they can read their other classmates blogs. Throughout this semester we had to open blog accounts and every Wednesday, and whenever we wanted to, writing was our main objective. I believe this is really positive for us, and I strongly think that teachers should give their students a chance to do the same. Why? Let us remember that through writing, we can practice “writing skills”, increase our vocabulary; for example if the teacher wants to know what students think about Environment and pollution in Santiago they would need specific words which they would find in a dictionary. Also group feedback, if they read their classmates’ entries they would be able to leave a respectful and enriching post. By doing that, students will even find out more about their friends. For instance, when we had to refer to the people who we would like to have a “face to face” and meet, I was very surprised to know that Jorge liked Elvis Presley as Bernardita did.

Those are for me the advantages of using the blog in the classroom, although as there are advantages there are disadvantages. The main difficulty I can think of is that posting requires practice. This depends on the time the teacher has for each class, it’s important to inform students the goal they need to reach before every “Blog class”. That way, they will not waste the time given for each session. Last but not least, it is imperative to give students freedom in their writing, but it is necessary to supervise the contents in their blogs. Since unsupervised blogs can wind up disturbing the main idea of being creative, critical, and contributive in their own learning process.

Concluding, as long as blogs are used in a respectful and risk-free way their practice in the classroom will only benefit, as I said before, students learning processes.

THE SCREAM

The Scream, the first time I saw it was on the TV, in a “People & Arts” program. I liked it because I imagined how Edvard Munch, the artist, must have felt to paint it. I thought everybody has felt that way during their lives, in a way overwhelmed and weakened by circumstances or the roller coaster of life. It doesn’t look very refreshing but I can feel identified by the sort of desperation shown in the painting. His hand are in his face, like if there is something he wants to say but he is not able to do it.

Maths... Ouch!

My worst nightmare ever, mathematics…. I studied it during my entire school education. It was not until high school that I really started hating it, why? Rumble Fish`s Main Characters

Rusty James: He was one of the main characters in “Rumble Fish”. He is a really young kid, who liked fighting and getting into trouble. “Rusty” is important to the book since is his real life, experiences and surroundings the ones that are described in the book.

The Motorcycle Boy: He is “Rusty James” brother. The Motorcycle boy is essential in the book because of his relationship with his brother and his impact on him.
Steve Hays: Rusty`s best friend. In the book it is represented as a good friend who never leaves “Rusty” alone, but that at the end of the story makes a decision and drifts apart from “Rusty James” for good.

Patty: Rusty James` girlfriend. She is in love with “Rusty” until she finds out that he cheated on her, that is when she ends up with their relationship. As we can read in the book, this really affects “Rusty James”.

Cassandra: Supposedly she was the motorcycle Boy’s girlfriend. She didn’t have a big role in the book, but it was very noticeable that Rusty didn’t like her at all. He mentions that is impossible that his brother is with her since she does dope.

Patterson: Member of the police department, a cop, who had been paying close attention to everything that the motorcycle boy and rusty james do. He wanted to get them and put them in jail.

Smokey: He is a young boy who at the end of the movie gets Patty’s attention. Rusty james realizes that he planned everything so that Patty would break up with him. He also shows off when saying that he was now the most important guy in the neighbourhood.
Rusty's parents: Rusty`s mother is gone, she left him when he was a couple of months old. On the other hand, his father became alcoholic when his wife left them alone, he was a lawyer but he doesn’t work. He only receives a pay check from the government and gives a little money to Rusty, unless he had already drunk it.

Correction of..."Something to Believe In.."

Pablo's Post:

Sir Ken Robinson talked about the consciousness of what we should aim for as future teachers: To encourage and to perfect children in order to they can develop themselves in what they really want to achieve. This is a very important thought and also I truly believe in it.

In addition, to make mistakes is something that culturally is not accepted, but If we can put ourselves in a more free position we would realize that it is only a trivial believe. The thing is that mistakes are part of our lives and they are important if we can take the learning of them.

Finally, it is really important to point out what Robinson said about Creativity : This is the potential that all human beings have born with. That is why we have to develop it in order to let children and also people to find what they are looking for in life.

Correction:

Sir Ken Robinson talked about being conscious of what should be our aim as future teachers: To encourage and to improve and enhance children’s capabilities and capacities in order to help them develop what they would like to achieve. This is a very important thought and I truly believe in it.
In addition, making mistakes is something that culturally is not accepted, but if we can put ourselves in a worry-free position, we would realize that it is only a trivial belief. Because mistakes are part of our lives and they are so valuable and beneficial when we can really learn from them.
Finally, it is really important to point out what Robinson said about Creativity: This is the potential that all human beings have come to life with. That is why we have to be able to develop our inner creativity in order to help or guide children and also people to find what they are looking for in life.

pAblO trEy's BloG

NicE!!!
Firstly, I was glad to write about Pablo's Blog, since I took extra minutes to go through his posts and some facts I had no idea of. I mean, I did know he liked rock and he played in a band ...but I didn't know he played a "Flying V", so : wow!
Also, when he was talking about the face to face person he'd like to meet and ask a couple of question and he mentioned "Plato", I agree that ""Cave allegory" is SO not a waste of time... I studied it during high school and it was awesome, really interesting. Finally, I think Pablo the "evil mood" guy should try to add a picture of him in his blog because there is some kind of antilope in his profile. And also in the link section its title is " Difficult people to geto on with" ..ha-ha thought that was funny when he is really about the only difficult person in the class. (Just kidding). I'd advice him to change the colours on his blog, because I almost fall asleep in the process of checking it out. :D

Even though the darkness, I must say it was a pleasure reading his posts, very interesting info and things I found out from Pablo.

Change We can Believe In

There are several people I would like to meet as well. The first person that came through my mind was Mario Kreutzberger.
Nevertheless, throughout my visit to the States I was in the middle of all the news about the presidential race. It was full of Democrats and Republicans, touring across the 50 states, campaigning and racing to finally become their parties’ nominee.
Since I watched CNN, among others, most of the time I kept entertained with the debates and controversies of all the candidates. However there is one of the Democrats party candidates that caught my attention and it is wasn’t John Edwards and definitely not Hillary Clinton. That Candidate was Barack Obama, and I would really like to meet him personally. He is very passionate about the race and about what his intentions are, especially of reuniting the country. I didn’t know anything about politics in the United States, but my friend Earl taught and explained a couple, so I’d like to talk about his life and what inspired him to become a president. His studies in Harvard, and how does he remember his college years. I’m quite interested in how does he project himself as the president and what does he think and would like to do with the country’s international affairs. Well, there is a lot I would like to know. I enjoy listening to him since he gives really good speeches. In fact he won a Grammy award for best spoken word album beating his main opponent Hillary Clinton. To conclude, I guess I would take him to the Bay Hill Club to play a tennis match and then take him to Universal’s Pleasure Island to go into the rollercoaster, that way he’d be ready to go on his race and keep rocking in it.

Japanese Learning English

That was an awkward video. I don’t understand how can 3 girls jumping or exercising and saying a couple of words can be a way for them to learn English. I’ve been thinking this over, if it is for women learning English and Japanese women love exercising. Then, repeating phrases while working out can be fun and at least they can remember what they have been saying. Maybe that is the best way for them to build up vocabulary. By repeating new words at the same time they are keeping fi. I really can’t think of anything else. But the video might make Japanese people think English speakers are dangerous…right? Well, "take anything you want"! Ha-ha

The Commitments

The book was interesting. Obviously compared to the movie, which always omit several details, gave more information and helped me to add a list of words...Not always polite let me say ha-ha.
Never read a book about the start of a band, and in Dublin. Jimmy Rabitte was so into the music business and was passionate about it. Unfortunately all the problems, money, jealousy and just childish young adults made all the effort worthless. They even had a chance to have their own album but they just wasted it. I personally liked the movie better, was a lot of fun to watch.
There were plenty of differences between the movie and the book. The movie for example was a lot more explicit and precise about the time when Jimmy sent an ad to a newspaper, and received all kinds of people in his house pretending to know everything about soul. Dublin Soul. Jimmy’s twin sisters, who we did not read about in the book, were shown in the movie. On the other hand, the book was extensive when talking about the band’s gigs and performing. I got to say that I liked the movie better but for the reason that I was able to watch the group’s performances, they were really good.
In conclusion, great movie and book, funny characters and performances, Hopes and Dreams and lots of effort and fights. Soul band…too bad because they really had the Soul!

Immigration backlogs

I’m so into this topic, because my sister has been waiting forever to become an US citizen. At the beginning they said they would take about 3 months and then when she sent the papers and paid the fees, they said it was going to take a minimum of 18 months...What!

According to CNN, 1.4 million immigrants have applied to become naturalized citizens. This is 1.4 million has doubled last year’s number. People have been arguing that immigration is so build-up with paperwork plus their unwilling desire to do something about rushing things up that they have raised the period of applying from seven to 18 months. People is angered because they are also very interest in voting next November for general elections.

Hope some politics help to make things faster, is not fare that people wait for so long to become citizens.

Day at The Beach!

One of my favourite places near Santiago is Rocas de Santo Domingo Beach. The last time I went to “Rocas de Santo Domingo” It was last year in November.
My father, brother and I went to have a relaxing day in the beach. I remember that I needed to get out of Santiago for a little bit, since I was somehow stressed of the city and especially of things going on in the University. Like always, the place was awesome, it was a cloudy Saturday, neither too hot nor cold day. We drove around the nicest cottages and streets over Santo Domingo and we had lunch in a little restaurant in front of the beach. What I liked the most was walking on the beach, even though my dad was quite talkative and my brother wanted to play all the time, I manage to chill out. I just wanted to be quiet and enjoy the day, but even so it was excellent and energizing. You should definitely go there and enjoy the landscapes and beautiful environment in it

No More Drama

“I carry your heart with me
(I carry it in My heart)
I am never without it
(anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
By only me is your doing, my darling)
I fear
No fate(for you are my fate, my sweet)
I want No world(for beautiful you are my world, my true)
And it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
And whatever a sun will always sing is you

Here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(Here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
And the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
Higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
And this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)"

I heard this poem in the movie “In Her Shoes”. I like it because it reminds me of the relationship I have with my sister. I hate saying it in "public", but well… I have to be honest; I have not been the best person lately. I guess I was getting lost in some kind of state that I don’t want to go back to. Doing all I promised myself I wouldn’t do. For a minute I thought about packing my things and leaving somewhere else, but running away is not the best choice if you think that someday you have to go back and deal with whatever you have to deal. So I stay… trying to mend my mistakes just before I let more people down.
I think it’s important to realize when you are screwing things up.
So, I guess it is never too late to go back to the right track. Am I right?

BBC...Priceless

BBC LeARning English

One of the best websites ever!! BBC is awesome, just an ideal site for English Teachers, students, learners, everybody! You can find great ideas, resources for a class or just practicing the language. I mean, I went to the phrasal section and I thought: OMG...They are so creative, inventing some story about Betty and her Boyfriend who actually cheated on her (nothing really new coming from a guy, right?) as a way to exercise all possible phrasal verbs. You can even listen the pronunciation and if are having problems with your old computer, all the info you need is transcribed on the website. My second favorite link in the BBC site was the “ Vocabulary from the news”, I’m personally interested in checking the news in a daily basis … well, this link gives you the meaning in context of expressions newspapers usually use when writing a piece of news. By the way, you can also listen to the words. Great way to keep on updated with new idioms, word, expressions, etc…
Great source of information and tools for English learners! I’ll probably start visiting it more again. I think it also says a lot about BBC and how important is Education for them.
Good Job!

Sir Ken Robinson: Do schols kill creativity?

I enjoyed watching Sir Ken Robinson, he is one of those people you would keep on listening to without getting bored. I totally agree with him when talking about the under appreciation of arts in the education hierarchy. Why is that the system encourage or persuades children to grow out of their capacities to be creative and to reach their talents? I would probably say that Mr. Robinson at exactly the same time that he is trying to make us aware of the whole situation he is trying to makes us stop or maybe transform the way we are educating our kids and so on… Even though we won’t be able to meet the future, we should want the best for children. And quite honestly, I would rather my kids being a Ballet Dancer or musician instead of one of those “disembodied” human beings walking around.

Internet Routine?

What do you do first when you arrive home? Or when you get to turn on your computer…what is the first thing you open or log into?

I’ve been thinking about this for quite a long time, what is it about internet that has gotten me so attracted to go into the same places, same websites, and same programs everyday? Do I ever get bored of the same internet-routine?…perhaps I have, but I still do pretty much the same.

“Internet Explorer”, powerful 2 words. Basically, if it doesn’t work I could just go nuts. Let’s see… Click on the browser and write www.Yahoo.com, I check the front page and see what news they have got. I rapidly click on MAIL; “OMG! I got some messages from my Friend Earl! “ ... This is my first e-mail account, I was about 13 years old. Yahoo mail is the place I can keep in touch with my sister, who actually assisted me in getting this account, and friends in the US. I visit it on a daily basis and I like it because it is easy and simple. It sounds awkward to say that It has had an impact on me, but It has worked since the very beginning as a practice source. By this I mean, my first mails to my brother in law, English only, were written in that account…I can still go back to the “sent files” and read my awful English mistakes.
I don’t think I would ever stop logging into my yahoo account because it would mean losing contact with people I really care about. And if it stopped working it would be awful losing all the contacts or e-mails I’ve written and received. No way that is going to happen, though.

If you are thinking about getting a trustworthy e-mail account, and just keep it simple… Just go into http://www.yahoo.com/. All you possibly want is there, mail, videos, etc. Just

Check it out!!

All right! This is my Favourite Gadget in the world....
A friend got it for me, and it's a 32GB ipodTouch.... I can check my e-mails, get into facebook, notes, buy music on itunes, youTube, Videos .....something like a computer. Unfortunately I cannot connect into the internet unless I have a network to connect to. ( don't even bother if a network has a password). The itouch comes from the iphone technology, you can use it with your fingers and it is very easy to make it work. I didn't care for the iphone...you know that if you answer this kind of "cell-phone" on the bus...you wouldn't keep it for too long.
Hope you like it, if you happen to get it...don't hesitate to ask me any questions about it.
bye -bye!

Rape Footage gives You Tube a Big Headache

Chairman and Member of Parlament severely attacked YouTube, video domain owned by Google, after realizing quite a huge mistake. They had failed to notice an uploaded video of gang rape footage.

Kent Walker, Google’s vice-president responding and at the same time giving explanations of what had happened, said it had been human error not detecting it and that the video had been watched over 600 times before removed. MP kept the argument saying it was “Absurd” the type of policy and security this webpage had since it only removes video after flagged, which is not appropriate because what would happened if nobody flagged some of these offensive videos?

Vice-president Walker says it is quite impossible to check every single video since there is about 10 hours of videos uploaded every single minute. But what they can do is to track offensive content such as the rape video with a combination of reviewers flagging them and brand new screen technology.
