My “error correction” experience has been quite a slow process, I must say. Why? It has been tricky to discriminate whether a mistake is either word form, word tense, etc… When correcting U.Chile`s students I firstly thought I had to be very strict when revising. But later on, I realized that even though their words could be more specific and sophisticated, it was more important to understand their message. So, in that way has been useful, since I’m flexible to different styles of writing too. Furthermore, I believe it will be beneficial for them `cause they will receive feedback which contains the corrections they need… we are not so focused on correcting every single error, but revising what interferes the understanding of their message.

Yes, I agree with u! We do not have to be that strict with them because English is not their main aim! so the idea is that they write in a way that is understandable to everybody!
See u around!
